LENT TOWN HALL RENTAL AGREEMENT

RENTAL RULES

1.  No decorations on painted wood surfaces.

2.  No sale of intoxicating beverages permitted

3.  The sale of non-intoxicating beverages with the proper permit is allowed

4.  Smoking is strictly prohibited in building.

5.  Hours to comply with (receptions, public events, etc.)

A.  A four (4) hour maximum is allotted for dance time (this does not include dinner music)

B.   All events must end no later than 12:01 AM

C.  Beverage serving to end to coincide with dance hours

D.  The building & parking lot should be empty ASAP after the event. A 1-hour maximum time is allotted for this purpose.

6.  No overnight camping on Lent Township property

7.  For all rented use: Lent Township requires the person or group that is renting the building sign a rental agreement. That person or group is responsible for all occurrences that might happen. This includes, but is not limited to, crowd control, damage, cleanup, etc.  Lent Township will provide a person to be in charge of the building. He is not a bouncer. This person will run the physical plant, lock the building and be available for emergency use. This person is hired for six (6) hours. Any additional time may be deducted from your deposit money.

8.      A $100.00 deposit is required for date reservation.  The deposit is non-refundable.  The rental dates are not transferable.  The balance is due 30 days prior to the event.  If a payment is not received on time, the lease may be automatically cancelled.  All payments should be made to:  Township of Lent.

9.      Cancellation of event: A letter of cancellation signed by the lessee, needs to be sent 30 days prior to the event date that is being canceled. The $100.00 deposit will not be refunded. If a letter is not received, the lessee will be charged for the whole rental amount of the hall.

10.    Cleanup & damage deposit is $ 250.00. If you opt not to do your own cleanup following an event, you will automatically be charged $250.00.

11.    Nonprofit Organizations must appear at a board meeting and will be reviewed.

12.    The premises will be inspected by an official of Lent Township following your event. Any out of the ordinary use of the building and/or damages will be accountable for by the lessee and will be taken into account when determining the return of your deposit.

13.    The following cleanup items must be performed:

1.            Sweep all floors

2.            Spillage on the floor in the kitchen, bathroom, and hallways need to be wiped up.

3.            Wipe off all chairs and tables used. Return them to the carts in the order they were found.

4.            Wipe off all counters. 

5.            Remove all items from the stove and refrigerator, wipe up spillage on either

6.            All garbage must be placed in bags and put in the dumpster outside.

7.            Cleanup must be done outside of the building, parking lot and the road adjacent to the property.

8.            All decorations must be removed. This includes tape on tables, chairs and walls.

 

Cleanup must be started at 9:00 am and completed by 11:00 am the following morning after the event (unless other arrangements are made). If in the opinion of a Lent Township official, cleanup is not started at 9:00 am, which will assure completion by 11:00 AM, Lent Township will start the cleanup and charges will be made accordingly. Cleanup can be performed in the 1-hour time frame after the completion of an event.
