Lent Township issued an Interim Use Permit for a temporary Asphalt Plant to be located at the northwest corner of I-35 and County Road 17 for the purpose of producing asphalt.
Mn/DOT will begin resurfacing I-35 from one mile north of Highway 8 in Forest Lake to Highway 95 in North Branch. The project is scheduled to be completed by July 25, 2011.
This project will require lane closures, but most of the restrictions will be during off peak hours. The southbound lane closures are prohibited between 5 am and 9 am and the northbound lane closures will be prohibited between 2 pm and 7 pm weekdays. Lane closures will not be allowed during weekends, with the exception of the northbound lane restrictions starting after 8 pm on Sunday evenings.
