\nLent Township Notice of Board of Appeal and Equaliza tion
\nNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN\, that the Board of Appeal and Equaliz ation for the Township of Lent\, CHISAGO County\, Minnesota\, will meet at the Office of the Clerk in said Township at 33155 Hemingway Ave.\, Stacy\ , MN 55079 At 6:00 (6 o’clock) P. M.\, on Thursday the 27th day of April 2 023 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said Tow nship of Lent for the year 2023. The purpose of this meeting is to determi ne whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued a nd classified by the assessor\, and to determine whether corrections need to be made. All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessmen t\, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too l ow\, are hereby notified to appear at said meeting\, and show cause of hav ing such assessment corrected. No complaint that another person is assesse d too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed or their agent\, shall have been notified of such complaint. If you believe the value or c lassification of your property is incorrect\, please contact your assessor ’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with th e valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor\, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board s hall review the valuation\, classification\, or both if necessary\, and sh all correct it as needed. Generally\, an appearance before your local boar d of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be ta ken to the county board of appeal and equalization.
